Anchor Insurance And Surety, Inc. is pleased to announce RICK KOWALSKI as its new President.
Rick is a native Oregonian. He graduated in 1984 from Willamette University with a degree in Economics and Computer Sciences.
Rick’s insurance career started in 1985 with Industrial Indemnity, followed by 13 years with Marsh McLennan (and earlier affiliate, Sedgwick Group) in Portland and Salem. Rick joined Anchor in 2000 and became a principal in 2015.
Rick’s leadership skills have been enhanced by one of his passions, dory boat fishing off the Oregon coast. He is an active member of the Pacific City Dory Fleet and is captain of The Peyton Anne. These small flat bottom boats launch from and return to the beach thru the surf zone near Cape Kiwanda. Like his insurance persona, Captain Rick approaches his voyages with detailed planning, gathering the weather and tide charts and studying the predictability of conditions. Rick is keenly aware of his responsibility to his passengers and puts personal safety at the top of the list.
Captain Rick and President Rick are the same measured, careful individual who weighs all the inputs, soaking up the information and planning the correct response. Anchor and its clients are very fortunate to have such an excellent navigator.
